projectile motion is motion of any object thrown from earth due to gravity. While circular motion can be due to any centripetal force, which must be equal to (mv^2/r).
If for example the force provided by gravity on a projectile happens to provide the centripetal force necessary for circular motion, the projectile will go around earth in a circle.
