Please explain me multiplicative an additive inverse

for multiplication, it is basically the reciprocal. ex. 8's inverse is 1/8.
for addition it is its opposite. ex. 8's inverse is -8.

Additive inverse is property of what you add to get the zero.
Multiplicative inverse is also known is reciprocal.
When we multiply any number by multiplicative inverse the answer is always 1.
