Activity 11.8
This activity tells us about the pressure exerted by water at the bottom of the container. It depends upon the height of the liquid column in the container.
STEP-1
Take a long container or a cylindrical column with holes on both the sides.
STEP-2
Attach a balloon on one end of the container.
STEP-3
Fill water in the container and observe. Pour more water in the container and then observe.
OBSERVATION
It is observed that when water is poured in first time then the balloon swells a little. When water is poured for second time it swells more than before. hence, it is proved that the pressure exerted by water at the bottom of the container. It depends upon the height of the liquid column in the container.
