The equation to determine boiling point elevation is

Where Kb is the ebullioscopic constant and m the molality of the solute .

Kb is the molal boiling point elevation constant. Its unit is °C m¯1, Degree Celsius per molal. It is a calculated value.

m is the molality of the solute or moles of solute per kg of water. Molality is dependent on amount of moles present in the solution. For example, if a compound dissociates into 2 ions, you must incorporate both ions when finding molality.
