When the cell is in work it produces heat and this heat uses chemical energy of the cell.Not necessary when the cell is in work produces heat.When the motor is connected to the cell the speed of motor increases.When the work is in process the cell produces kinetic energy and this overcomes the friction.When the motor is in constant speed the kinetic energy does not change. When the cell is in work it overcomes friction. This produces heat.
