m = 80g = 0.08kg

u = 20cm/s = 0.2m/s

v = 0m/s

t = 8s

a = (v-u)/t = (0-0.2)/8 = -0.025 m/s

F = ma = 0.08 × (-0.025) = 0.002 N

Using third law of motion,

s = (v²-u²)/2a = {0²- (0.2)²}/{2×(-0.025)} = -0.04/(-0.05)

s = 0.8m

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

t = time

a = acceleration

F = force

s = displacement
