if you meant for numbers 0< x < 1 => x^2 < x.
this is easy to prove. since x < 1, multiply both sides by x which gives x^2 < x.
but if you meant for any number M of the form N.D where N is integer part and D is decimal point, e.g 2.5^2 = 6.25 , why we get .25 which is less than .5 then it is not valid. e.g 1.1^2 = 1.21 with .21 > .1
