((((((The population of a town increases at the rate of 40 per thousand. It's population after 2 years will be 6084. Find its present population.))))))

Given, Rate = 40 per thousand = 40/1000 = 4%, Time n = 2 years, A = 6084.

We know that A = P(1 + r/100)^n

⇒ 6084 = P(1 + 4/100)^2

⇒ 6084 = P(1 + 0.04)^2

⇒ 6084 = P(1.04)^2

⇒ 6084 = 1.0816

⇒ P = 5625.


Therefore, Present population = 5625.
