Spinner A

n(s) = 4

let A be the event that spinner is spun and the numbers are added.

=>one time spin

A = { 1 }

A = { 1 + 2 + 3 + 4} ...{ in 1 spin no. gets added}

n(A) = (10)

p(A) = 10/4 = 5/2

p(A) = 5/2 = 2.5 less than 5

Spinner B

n(s) =(4)

let B be the event that spinner is spun and the numbers are added.

B = { 1} .....one time spin

B = {2 + 3 + 4 + 5} ....(no. gets added in 1 spin)

n(B) = (14)

p(B) = 14/4 = 3.5
