Hey there! .

( i ) 4Na + O2 --------> 2Na2O

Sodium on reacting with Oxgyen forms Sodium Oxide.

We know that, Addition of Oxygen is oxidation.

So, Na is getting oxidised.

( i i )

CuO + H2 -------> Cu + H2O.

Here, Cu is getting reduced

H2 is getting oxidized.

In (I) Na is oxidized
In (II) CuO is reduced to Cu
and hydrogen is oxidized to water
