Explanation:

In triangle BCE ,

Using angle sum property of triangle;

angle EBC + angle ECB + angle BEC= 180°

> 40° + x + 90° = 180°

> x + 130° = 180°

> x= 50°

In triangle ADC;

Using angle sum property of traingle;

> angle ADC + angle DAC + angle ACD =180°

> angle ADC + 30° + 50° = 180°

> angle ADC = 100°

Now,

Angle ADC + Angle ADB = 100 + y° = 180 °( Angle's on a straight line)

y= 80°

Answer:

Explanation:

40 degree + 90 degree+ x = 180 degree (Angle sum property)

130 degree + x = 180

x = 180- 130

x= 50 degree

y= Angle ADC (linear pair)

Angle ADC= 30 + 50 +y =180( Angle sum property)

80 +y=180

y=180 - 80=100 degree
