SolutioN 1 :-

When two resistance are Connected in series then the equivalent resistance is equal to the sum of both the resistances . Here the two resistance are D1 and D2 . So the net resistance will be ,

\sf:\implies \pink{ R_{(net)}= D_1 + D_2 }

SolutioN 2 :-

When two resistance are connected in parallel here D1 and D2 then the net resistance is equal to :-

\sf:\implies \pink{ \dfrac{1}{R_{(net)}}= \dfrac{1}{D_1} +\dfrac{1}{ D_2 }}

Answer:

The answer will be:

1.D1 + D2

2.D1×D2/(D1 + D2)

Explanation:

1. Let the equivalent resistance be Re;

Thus, the value of Re will be given as;

Re = resistant1 + resistant2

Thus, Re = D1 + D2.

2. Let the equivalent resistance be Rt;

Thus, the value of Re will be given as;

1/Rt = 1/resistant1 + 1/resistant2

Thus, 1/Rt = 1/D1 + 1/D2.

= D2 + D1/D1.D2

Rt = D1×D2/ (D1 + D2)

That's all.
