I think so if more current is passed through the electromagnet and the number of coils are more we may use eletromagnet hope you might understand

a permanent electromagnet is obtained when current is made to flow in a solenoid around a steel bar and if it flows around a soft iron bar then it forms a temporary electromagnet

in this picture write steel bar instead of soft iron bar
this is the answer hope it helps uuuu
