x = 1/3 and y = - 1/3
2x-y= 1
x+y =0
answer:
3x=1
x = 1/3
1/3 + y = 0
y= - 1/3

Hey friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

Given that,

2x - y = 1  ----- (i)

x + y = 0   ----- (ii)

To find,

The value of x and y.

Solution,

Add the equation (i) and (ii)

We get,

2x - y + x + y  = 1 + 0 .

3x = 1

→ x = \frac{1}{3}

Now, Substitute the x value in equation (ii) to get y value.

x+y= 0

→  \frac{1}{3} +y =0

y =  \frac{-1}{3}

Therefore these are the values of x & y
