in home Power supply system always we use parallel combinations of all the appliances.
so from here we can have idea to apply that all appliances here(heater,bulb and radio) these all will have the same potential difference across each.(as in parallel combinations all the components have same potential difference across them)
So the Power equals to potential difference times the current across the device or component.
for (i) use this formula given P is 1000W of heater = 220×current in heater.
for (ii) part
we can use two approaches
(a) finding resistance and then using ohms law
like as
Power formula changes if we have parallel combinations
that is write it in terms of potential
ie P =V×V/R means ( V square divided by resistance)
from here get the resistance of all the appliances and then add them parllaly ,get net resistance .
now use ohms law to get current.
this will be the current through fuse.
(b) we can calculate the current from each element (heater,bulb and radio) seperately and then adding theses current will give us the current through fuse.
in home appliances the current from meter it divides into corresponding appliances and at last it comes as again a single one. while passing to appliances we use the fuse that fuse will sacrifice if the current is more. here that current is asked.
