Solution :-

(1) a)

→ Radius = r = 7 m

→ Height = h = 10 m

So,

→ Surface area of cylinder = 2πr[h + r]

putting values we get,

→ Surface area of cylinder = 2 * (22/7) * 7 * (10 + 7)

→ Surface area of cylinder = 2 * 22 * 17

→ Surface area of cylinder = 748 m² .

(2) a)

→ Diameter = 9cm

So,

→ Radius = r = Diameter /2 = (9/2) = 4.5 cm .

→ Height = h = 32 cm .

then,

→ Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

→ CSA = 2 * 3.14 * 4.5 * 32

→ CSA = 904.3 cm²
