Here we have to find the volume

Volume = Length × Breadth × Height/Depth

Here, depth = 3m
Breadth = 40m

Since the river is moving with a speed of 2km/hr we will change it in m/minute first

2km/hr

= 2000m/60 minute

= 100/3

So the river covers 100/3 m per minute.

So the length would be 100/3 m

Now volume = 100/3 × 3 × 40

=> Volume = 4000 m³

Hence your answer is 4000 m³

Hope it helps dear friend

the area of water front will be... 3x40= 120 m²

speed is 2km/hr or

10/18 m/s

or 100/3 m/min

so volume per minute is the area x speed

or 120 x 100 / 3

4000m³
