Explanation:

In direct speech,we report the words of a speaker by repeating the actual words which are indicated with the help of inverted commas.

eg:- Komal said ,"I have a holiday tomorrow."

When we convey the speaker's thoughts without repeating the actual words but the substance of the word used by the speaker , it is called reported or narration or indirect speech.

eg:- Komal said she would watch the movie with us.

\implies\sfDirect : I said to him, "you have bought the book".

Indirect : I told him that he had bought the book

Additional Information :

❇The person who conveys is the second person to whom the first person told the compliment or a sentence .

✴ Indirect speech is a report on what someone else said or wrote without using that person's exact words.

▪️In direct speech, we use the actual words of the speaker which are enclosed within the inverted commas placed at the beginning and at the end We use introductory verbs in direct speech to introduce the speaker's words.
