Answer :

Number are 4 & 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one number be x

Then, second number = 9-x

A. T. Q

Sum of their squares is equal to 41

Then,

 {x}^{2} + ({9 - x})^{2} = 41

 {x}^{2} + {x}^{2} + 81 - 18x = 41

2 {x}^{2} - 18x = 41 - 81

2 {x}^{2} - 18x = - 40

2 {x}^{2} - 18x + 40 = 0 \\ 2( {x}^{2} - 9x + 20) = 0

 {x}^{2} - 9x + 20 = 0

From Splitting Method.

 {x}^{2} - 4x - 5x + 20 = 0 \\ x(x - 4) - 5(x - 4) = 0 \\ (x - 5)(x - 4)
