there fore selling price= 95/100of X
if he sold 250 more than he would gain 15%
so,19x/20+3x/20-x=250
19x+3x-20x/20=250
22x-20x/20=250
2x/20=250
X/10=250
X=250×10
X=2500
so, the cost price of the sweater is 2500
