sin (x+ y ) = 1

cos (x- y ) = 1

X + y = 90 ------(1)

X-y = 0 -------(2)

from equn.. (1) and (2)

2x = 90

X = 45

put in equation (2)

x- y = 0

45 -y = 0

-y = -45

y = 45

Given sin (x+y) = cos (x-y) = 1

First take sin (x+y) =1

we know that sin 90°=1

Sin (x+y) =sin 90°

x+y = 90°------- equation (1)

again cos ( x-y ) =1

we know that cos0°=1

So, cos (x-y) =cos 0°

x-y = 0°-------- equation (2)

add (1) & (2) ,we get

x+y =90°

x-y = 0°

-------–------

2x =90

x = 90/2

so, x = 45°

Substitute x = 45° in eq (1) ,we get

45° + y =90°

y = 90° - 45°

so, y = 45°

so both x = y = 45°
