When a strip of lead metal is placed in a solution of copper chloride a displacement reaction takes place.

Lead, being more reactive that copper displaces copper which is less reactive from its compound.

The bluish-green colour of the solution also fades away and it becomes pale or colourless.

The equation is as follows:

Lead + Copper Chloride --------> Lead Chloride + Copper

(or)

Pb + CuCl2 ---------> PbCl2 + Cu

hope my answer helps you:)
