we have here x+2y+7=0   and  2x+ky=-14

here,

a1=1 ,b1=2 ,c1=7   and a2=2 , b2=k  ,  c2=14

a1/a2=b1/b2=c1/c2

1/2=2/k=7/17

2/k=1/2

k=4

hence , for k =4 the given system of equation represent coinside the line...
