\dfrac{x \:  -  \: 3}{x \:  +  \: 4}  \:  =  \:  \dfrac{x}{x \:  +  \: 2}

___________ [ GIVEN ]

• We have to find the value of x.

_____________________________

=> \dfrac{x \:  -  \: 3}{x \:  +  \: 4}  \:  =  \:  \dfrac{x}{x \:  +  \: 2}

Cross-multiply them..

=> (x + 2)(x - 3) = x(x + 4)

=> x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3) = x² + 4x

=> x² - 3x + 2x - 6 = x² + 4x

=> x² - x - 6 = x² + 4x

=> x² - x² - x - 4x - 6 = 0

=> -5x - 6 = 0

=> - 5x = 6

=> x = -6/5

_____________________________

x = \dfrac{-6}{5}
