Hi ,
Draw a rough diagram.
Let O is a center of the circle .
radius = OA = OB = 4 cm
AB is a chord .
Draw a perpendicular line from O to
AB , which intersects AB at P .
In triangle OAB ,
triangle ]
Now ,
In ∆APO ,
Cos
Cos30° = AP/4
√3/2 = AP/4
AP = 2√3
Therefore ,
Length of the chord = AB
= 2 × AP
= 2 × 2√3
= 4√3cm
I hope this helps you.
