Answer:

Let the velocity at a point on circle be v

Initial Momentum = mv

When the particle goes to the diametrically opposite end it's velocity is

-v

Final momentum = -mv

Change in the momentum = final momentum - initial momentum

Change in momentum = -mv - mv = -2mv

As this is uniform circular motion speed doesn't change therefore Kinetic energy is constant

Ans: Option (b) momentum change is 2mv
