Please tell anyone why chapatti has to be round in shape ? I donot understand whats concept of its shape

Roti's actually are in round shape due to some logical reason i.e. when you try to give roti different shape like rectangle the corners of the roti will be overloaded by wheat part which will not be able to cook properly. Apart from this other things are round so that they can cook properly from all sides.

If you cook roti of other shape then it is bound to have sharp edges so when you eat it, it would cut your tongue and all of the ailimentary canal thus leading to your last bite
