general form of quadratic equation is: [x^2-(a+b)+ab]
a+b= 2+6=8
ab=2×-6= -12
so the required eqn is ; x^2 -8x-12

{ pls consider a and b as the roots given }
tnx

jashwanth2002: its wrong man as zeroes are 2 and -6.Therefore its sum should be -4

as zeroes are given as 2 and -6
 sum of zeroes=2+(-6)=-4
 product of zeroes=2*-6=-12
to get a quadratic polynomial
 x^2-(sum of zeroes)x+(product of zeroes)=0
 here;
 x^2+4x-12=0
Verification
sum of zeroes= -b/a
-4=-4
product of zeroes=c/a
 2*-6=-12/1
-12=-12
hence verified.
