Ramu and Shamu were best friends. One day while coming from town to their village, they were travelling through a forest. Suddenly they saw a bear coming at them. They were frightened. Ramu who knew climbing trees ran up to a tree and climbed up quickly. He did not think of Shamu. Shamu did not know tree climbing. He had no way of escape. He was helpless. Shamu thought for a second. He had heard that animals do not prefer dead bodies. He fell to the ground and also controlled his breath and acted like dead. The bear came up to Shamu. It smelt his nose, ears and eyes and thought he was dead. So he went away. Then Ramu came down from the tree. He said to John, “What did the bear whisper in your ear?” Shamu said, “The bear told me not to trust a friend who leaves his friend in danger.”

Moral Of The Story

Friend in need is a friend indeed.

Ramu and Shamu are very similar to 'Dennis the Menace' in nature. These identical twins are about eight years of age and live in a middle-class home with their parents. They always embarrass or confuse their parents with their juvenile and innocent questions or acts. Their episodes small but very cute and charming
