Initial velocity = 5 ms^-1 (u)
Retardation= 1 ms^-2 (a)
Final velocity = 0 (v)
v^2= u^2 - 2aS
S= distance covered
S = 25÷2=12.5m
S= (v^2+u^2)÷2a
Substituting the values we get
Distance covered is 12.5m
