Answer:

10 a internal daimeter = 4cm

       internal radius =4/2=2cm

thickness of pipe =0.5cm

outer radius= inner radius +thickness of pipe=2+0.5=2.5cm

10 b

let the inner radius to be r and outer to be R

volume of material used = volume of outer cylinder - volume of inner cylinder

                                                = πR²h   -  πr²h

                                               = 22/7×2.5×2.5×8 - 22/7×2×2×8

                                              = 157cm³-100.48cm³

                                               = 56.52cm³

hence the volume of material required to make pipe is 56.52 cm²

10 c  total surface area of pipe = l.s.a of outer cylinder + 2(area of outer cirlce-area of inner circle)+l.s.a of inner cylinder

                                               =  2πRh+ 2(πR²-πr²)+2πrh

                                              = 2×22/7×2.5×8 +2{(22/7×2.5×2.5)-(22/7×2×2)

                                                + 2×22/7×2×8

                                              =125.7+14.08+100.57

                                              = 240.35cm²

10 d

     volume of water delivered in 20 sec  = area of inner circle ×distance travlled by water in 20 sec  (height of water deliverded20 sec )

       speed=d/t

   0.15m/s=d/1

    d= 0.15m

distance travelled by water in 20 sec = 0.15×20m

                                                    =3m

putting this in formula = 3×2πr²

                                   =3×2×22/7×2×2

                                  = 75.42 m ³
