Heya,

Chromoplasts:- These are the plastids which appear to be orange-red in colour.

They are generally  rich in carotenoid and lipids.

They do have a fixed shape.

They attract animals for pollination

Leucoplasts:-They are the plastids which appear to be colourless.

They are generally found in some of the unexposed parts.

They have a regular shape which looks round in appearance.

They do not attract animals.

Chloroplasts:- They are the plastids which appear to be green in colour

They contain the green pigment chlorophyll which helps in the process of photosynthesis.

It is the site where light energy is converted into chemical energy

On the basis of pigments present in them plastids are of three types :

Chromoplast- these are coloured plastids (other than green). They occur in flowers, fruits and roots, example carrot. They contain coloured pigment called carotenoids, including carotene and xanthophylls which provide yellow, orange and red colour to the flowers and fruits to attract animals for pollination.

Leucoplast: These are colourless plastids. They are of three types depending upon the type of storage product

Amyloplasts (stores starch)

Aleuroplast (store protein)

Elaioplasts (store oil)

Chloroplasts: these are green coloured plastids. They contain photosynthetic pigment called chlorophyll. It provides green colour to the plants and helps in photosynthesis.

Hope this answer helps you :-)
