okay....so first lets draw the altitude......

the altitude of a right triangle bisects the base so we apply Pythagoras theorem and get the value of altitude as x√3/2

like this,

x²-(x/2)²=altitude²

3x²/4=altitude²

x√3/2 =altitude

area of triangle= bh/2

=>x · x√3/2/2

⇒x²√3/4 unit²
