Let the level of water in the cuboidal pond rises be 21cm be in "t hours".

Speed of water ="15km/hr"="15 ×1000m/hr"="15000m/hr"

Diameter of pipe ="14cm"

Radius of pipe ="14/100m"

Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in 1 hour

 =>\pi {r}^{2} h

=>(22/7)×(7/100)×(7/100)×15000

=>231m^3

So, the volume water flowing out of the pipe in "t hr" be" 231t hrs"

Volume of cuboidal pond

=>l×b×h

=>40×44×(21/100)

=>462 m^3

Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in t hrs= Volume of water in cuboidal pond.

=>231t=462

=>t=2hrs

Hence, the time takem by pipe to fill the water into the cuboidal tank is 2hrs.
