Answer:

Stomata are more numerous on the lower side of the leaf to prevent transpiration. Transpiration is the loss of water through stomata, so, more stomata are found on the lower surface to prevent excessive loss of water. As the lower surface of leaf is not directly exposed to sun, rate is transpiration is low from the lower surface.

Hope you get you answer☺️

Answer:

  • Wind is one of the external factors that increase the rate of transpiration. Wind usually carries away the moistures present in the atmosphere making it dry enough to absorb more water vapours from the plants. This results in higher rate of transpiration in windy atmosphere than on a calm day.
  • Transpiration is the loss of excess water in the form of water vapour by the stomata present in the leaf of a plant. But excess transpiration may take out all the necessary moistures from the plant body resulting in wilting or drying of leaves.
