Answer:

1 )

it will come in form of a kite,  so length of the vertical line is 12+12 = 24 and length of the horizontal line is 9+9 = 18.

using pythagorus theorm

base² + altitude² = hypotnuse²

12² +9² = h²

144+81 = h²

225 = h²

√225 = 15

all the sides of the rhombus are equal = 15.

2)

Length of the rectangle = 12 cm

Length of each of its diagonal = 15 cm

Diagonal = √(Length)² + (Breadth)²

15 = √(12)² + (Breadth)²

Squaring both the sides, we get.

15² = 12² + Breadth²

225 - 144 = Breadth²

Breadth² = 81

Breadth = √81

Breadth = 9 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • point the centre as O
  • AO=18/2=9
  • BO=24/2=12
  • In triangle AOB
  •  {9}^{2}   +  {12}^{2}  = 81 + 144  = 225
  • ab =  {15}^{2}  = 225
  • The side of the rhombus is 15cm
