Answer:-

Given:-

  • Length = 12 cm
  • Breadth = 8 cm

To Find:-

Measurement of its diagonal.

__________...

We know,

all angles of a rect. = 90°

Let the diagonal be = (N) cm

So, by Pythagoras Theorem,

(will only work for right angled triangles)

[(Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + (Height)²]

N² = (8)² + (12)²

⟹ N² = 64 + 144

⟹ N² = 208

⟹ N = √208

⟹ N = √2 • √2 • √2 • √2 • √13

⟹ N = 2 • 2√13

⟹ N = 4√13

The diagonal was 413 cm.
