Given: x : y = 2 : 3

Given equation : ( 3 x  + 2 y ) : ( 2x + 5y )

         Solution : -

\implies \dfrac{3x+2y}{2x+5y}

Divide both sides by "y"

\implies \dfrac{\bigg( 3 \times \dfrac{x}{y} \bigg) + \bigg( 2 \times \dfrac{y}{y} \bigg)}{ \bigg( 2 \times \dfrac{x}{y} \bigg) + \bigg( 5 \times \dfrac{y}{y}\bigg)}

Now, substitute the value of \dfrac{x}{y} which is \dfrac{2}{3}

\implies \dfrac{\bigg( 3 \times \dfrac{2}{3} \bigg) + \bigg( 2 \times 1 \bigg)}{ \bigg( 2 \times \dfrac{2}{3} \bigg) + \bigg( 5 \times 1 \bigg)}\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{( 1 \times 2 ) + 2 }{ \dfrac{4}{3} + 5 }\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{2 + 2}{\dfrac{4+15}{3}}\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{4}{\dfrac{19}{3}} \\\\\\\implies \dfrac{12}{19}

Therefore the value of ( 3x + 2y ) : ( 2x + 5y ) is 12 : 19.
