(I) A body is in uniform acceleration when velocity of the body increaes by equal amounts in equal intervals of time, howsoever small the intervals may be. For example, a body falling freely under gravity has uniform acceleration

(ii) The body is said to be in non-uniform acceleration when velocity of the body increases by unequal amounts in equal intervals of time, howsoever small the intervals may be

1. If the object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, it is add to be in uniform motion.

2. If the object covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in non-uniform motion.
