11. Let the Breadth of the Original Rectangle be : B
Given Length of Original Rectangle Exceeds its Breadth by 5cm
⇒ Length of the Original Rectangle = B + 5
We know that Area of Rectangle is given By : Length × Breadth
⇒ Area of Original Rectangle = B(B + 5)
Now they are making some Modifications to the Original Rectangle. As a result New Rectangle is Formed.
Given the Length of New Rectangle is Decreased by 2cm
⇒ Length of the New Rectangle = (B + 5) - 2 = B + 3
Given the Breadth of New Rectangle is increased by 5cm
⇒ Breadth of the New Rectangle = B + 5
⇒ Area of the New Rectangle = (B + 3)(B + 5)
Given the Area of New Rectangle increase by 33 cm²
⇒ The Difference of Areas of New Rectangle and Original Rectangle is 33 cm²
⇒ (B + 3)(B + 5) - B(B +5) = 33
⇒ (B + 5)(B + 3 - B) = 33
⇒ 3B + 15 = 33
⇒ 3B = 18
⇒ B = 6
Dimensions of the Original Rectangle :
Length = B + 5 = 6 + 5 = 11 cm
Breadth = B = 6 cm

13. Let the Speed of 'A' be : P km/hr
Given the Speed of 'B' is 10 km/hr more than 'A'
It Means Speed of 'B' is : (P + 10) km/hr
Given that they start from the two towns simultaneously (it means at the same time, i think they both have Cell phone and they called each other before starting from their respective towns) and they meet after 4 hours.
Let us Calculate the Distance they both Traveled in 4 hours.
- In One Hour 'A' Travels P kilometers
- In Four Hours 'A' Travels 4P kilometers
- In One Hour 'B' Travels (P + 10) kilometers
- In Four Hours 'B' Travels (4P + 40) kilometers
Given the Distance between the Two Towns is 760 km
As they Meet After 4 hours, The Sum of Distance Traveled by 'B' in 4 hours and the Distance Traveled by 'A' in 4 hours should be Equal to 760
⇒ 4P + (4P + 40) = 760
⇒ 8P + 40 = 760
⇒ 8P = 720
⇒ P = 90
⇒ Speed of 'A' is 90 km/hr
⇒ Speed of 'B' is 100 km/hr
