(Hypotenuse)² = (1st side )² + (2nd side )² }

Explanation :

Area of ∆AED = 27.

To find the area of quadrilateral ABCD apply Pythagoras theorem in it ( Apply Pythagoras theorem to ∆ADC ) for finding the length of side AC

therefore, AD² + DC² = AC²

AC =√[ (12)² + (5)² ]

AC = 13

Now, we know the formula for area of triangle.

So, A(∆ABC) = 35.75

A(∆ADC) = 30

Hence , total Area of given figure = 27+35.75+30

= 92.75
