$20x^{2} - 26x +8 = 0$

dividing that equation by 2, we get

$10x^{2} - 13x +4 =0$

As the coefficient of x² consists a value rather than 1...we have to multiply that value with the constant value ..

(If we multiply we should get 40 and if we add we should get -13)

So,   10x² - 5x - 8x +4=0

5x(2x - 1) - 4 (2x - 1)=0

Therefore,

  2x-1=0

 2x = 1

x=1/2= 0.5

5x-4=0

5x=4

x=5/4=0.8
