1.  Here, mass of proton, mp=m, mass of deutron, md=2m and mass of α-particle mα=4m, charge on proton, qp=e, charge on deutron, qd=e and charge on α-particle qα=2e.

K.E. of charged particle,

E=1/2mv2 or v=√ 2E/m

Radius of the circular path of a charged particle in the magnetic field is given by

r = mv/Bq = mBq*√2Em = √2mE/Bq, so r∝√m/q

∴rp:rd:rα = √-p/qp:√md/qd:√mα/qα

=√m/e:2–√2m/e:√4m/2e = 1:√2:1

Solution :

Resultant charges after adding the −2C be (−2+2) = 0

and (−2+6) = +4C⇒F = kQ1Q2/r2 = k×0×4/r2=0
