To show:-
(p+r):(q+r)[R.H.S]
duplicate ratio of ( p + r ) :( q + r)
= ( p + r )^2 :( q + r )^2
=(p^2+r^2+2pr):( q^2+r^2+2qr)
= (p^2+pq+2pr):( q^2+pq+2qr) [r^2=pq, given]
=p (p+q+2r):q (q+p+2r)
=p/q:(p+q+2r)/(q+p+ 2r)
= p:q [L.H.S]
