the area of a circle = 220 cm²
then , radius = (220×7/22)½ = √70

diameter= diagonal Of square = 2×√70=2√70

diagonal of square = √2 side = 2√70

so, side of square = 2√70/√2 =√140 cm

then area of square = (side)² = (√140)²= 140cm²

Answer:

Option(c)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, Area of circle = 220 cm².

⇒ πr² = 220

⇒ (22/7) * r² = 220

⇒ r² = 70

⇒ r = √70

Then, diameter = 2 * radius

                          = 2√70.

∴ Area of square = (1/2) * (diagonal)²

                            = (1/2) * (2√70)²

                            = (1/2) * 4 * 70

                            = 140 cm².

Hope it helps you!
