lolly1: x is 115
lolly1: as all the angles should measure 180 degrees
lolly1: so 40 + 65 + x = 180
lolly1: and then we should simplify

Answers for ii iii iv are included
In the enclosed pic.
Ok.. Clear I hope. An angle is negative means the direction of measurement is done clockwise. We take the absolute value.

(ii) 13°-x = x-17° (vert. opp. angles)
-x-x = -17-13
-2x = -30
2x = 30
x = 15°

(x-17) and y are two angles which lies on the same line.
Therefore, (x-17)+y = 180° (linear pair)
x-17+y = 180
15-17+y = 180
y-2 = 180
y = 180+2
y = 182°

y = z = 182° (vert. opp. angles)

*I think this part's question is wrong as the angles x-17 and 13-x are negative angles, i.e., -2°.*

(iii) 40°,x,25° three angles lie on a straight line.
Therefore, 40°+x+25° = 180° (Angles on a straight line)
x+65 = 180
x = 180-65
x = 115°

y and another angle of 40° lie on a straight line
Therefore, y+40° = 180° (linear pair)
y = 180°-40°
y = 140°

y and z are 2 angles on a straight line.
Therefore, y+z = 180°
140+z=180
z = 180-140
z = 40°

(iv) (x-75)° and 55° are 2 angles on a straight line.
Therefore, x-75+55=180 (linear pair)
x-20 = 180
x = 180+20
x = 200°

(x-75)° and y are 2 angles on a straight line.
Therefore, x-75+y=180 (linear pair)
200-75+y = 180
125+y = 180
y = 180-125
y = 55°

(x-75)° = z (vert. opp. angles)
200-75 = z
z = 125°
