by doing following experiment -
take a bar magnet with known north-south pole. Then try on which side it repels or attracts.By this it will be known to us abt the poles of solenoid.

hope it helped u

sanjana72: according to current then, direction of current will also help u to know the poles
sanjana72: plzzz mark it as brainlist answer if it helped u
Anonymous: When I try to find out the poles, I realize that the direction of current is same on both sides. please help me to understand this thoroughly by giving a detailed answer step by step.
sanjana72: then ur observations r wrong ..plzz check again ur observations
aditya15502: find a diagram of solenoid from book if the face of the solenoid is clockwise it is north pole and if it is anticlockwise it is south pole
aditya15502: the diagram is Sean by you is wrong
RitwikGarg: Aditya you are wrong
RitwikGarg: if it’s anticlockwise the polarity is North Pole not south pole
aditya15502: sorry you are correct I have done a mistake
RitwikGarg: No problem

if the stating face of the solenoid is clockwise then it is north pole and the other face is southpole and vice-versa
