AB = AC + AB
AB = 2 AC ( C is mid point of AB )
XY = XD+ DY
XY = 2 XD ( D Is mid point of XY)
AC= XD( given )
Therefore , 2AC = 2XD ( Axiom used :- things which are double pf same thing are equal to one another )
AB = XY
