we have to find unit of M in the given equation \bf{PV=\frac{w}{M}RT}

first of all, you should know about all given symbols.
here P denotes the pressure, V denotes volume , w denote weight in gram , M denotes molecular mass , R denotes universal gas constant and T denotes temperature.

now you say me what is the unit of molecular mass /weight . of course, gm/mol
because molecular mass/weight is the the mass of one mole of a molecule.

hence, answer is gm/mol
