The solution is too long to be typed But I'll tell you the way. Obtain the ratio XA/AY which will be 2:3. Then use section formula with y as (x2,y2) and the obtained ratio as m:n and solve the ordered pair obtained. Solve it and you'll get the value of A. Then substitute the point in the given line equation. The value of A is (2,-4) and the value of k is 2.
